Zénith, Paris

The Zénith in the Parc de la Villette is one of Paris's best-known concert halls. Designed by architects Philippe Chaix and Jean-Paul Morel, it was inaugurated in January 1984 as a replacement for the old Pavillon de Paris — originally intended as a temporary structure, it proved so successful that it stayed. Its modular design lets capacity range from around 2,200 to roughly 9,000 depending on configuration, which is why everyone from rising acts to international headliners plays here, across rock, rap, pop and comedy.

Getting there

The hall sits in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement, on the edge of the Canal de l'Ourcq. The closest métro stations are Porte de Pantin and Porte de la Villette, both a short walk through the park, and the Pantin RER station is also nearby.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Zénith seated or standing? It depends on the show: the room can be set up fully seated or with a standing floor and seated tiers, so check the configuration for your event.

How early should I arrive? Doors usually open well before showtime; arriving early helps with the walk through the Parc de la Villette and entry queues.
