Southeast Asia's Biggest Stadium

The Bukit Jalil National Stadium (Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil) is the multi-purpose flagship venue of the Kuala Lumpur Sports City complex. Officially inaugurated by then-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on 11 July 1998 ahead of the 1998 Commonwealth Games, it staged the Games' opening ceremony and replaced the historic 45,000-seat Merdeka Stadium as the home of Malaysian sport. With a capacity of 87,500, it is the largest stadium in Southeast Asia, the fourth largest in Asia and among the fifteen largest in the world.

The stadium hosts most home matches of the Malaysia national football team, the finals of the Malaysia FA Cup and Malaysia Cup, and major athletics events. Since inauguration it has been the main stage for events including the 2001 and 2017 Southeast Asian Games, and over the past decade has become Kuala Lumpur's flagship stadium-concert venue, hosting tours by some of the world's biggest artists.
