Telekom Center Athens, Athens
Telekom Center Athens — long known as the OAKA indoor arena — is the largest indoor venue in Greece, standing in the Olympic sports complex in Marousi, a northern suburb of Athens. Completed in the mid-1990s, it staged the basketball and gymnastics spectacle of the 2004 Summer Olympics and has been home court to Panathinaikos B.C. and the Greek national basketball team for decades. A major renovation project carried out between 2023 and 2026 modernised the building under its current name, and its capacity is around 18,000–19,000 for basketball, with large-scale concerts using similar configurations.
Getting there
The arena is on Leoforos Kifisias in Marousi, within the OAKA complex. Eirini station on Athens Metro line 1 (Piraeus–Kifissia) is about a ten-minute walk from the venue, making the metro the simplest way in from central Athens.
Good to know
Is Telekom Center Athens the same as the OAKA arena? Yes — it is the renamed and renovated indoor arena of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex, previously known as the OAKA Basketball Arena.
