Parc del Forum, Barcelona

Parc del Forum was created in 2004 on Barcelona's northern waterfront for the Universal Forum of Cultures, a project that regenerated the Besos riverfront and the Poblenou district. Its centrepiece is a vast open esplanade of some 84,000 square metres beside the Mediterranean, crowned by a huge photovoltaic canopy that has become a symbol of the site.

The park is now one of the city's main grounds for large-scale music events. Primavera Sound moved here in 2005 and the seafront layout, with multiple stages spread across the esplanade, has hosted many other festivals and concerts since.

Getting there

The nearest metro stop is El Maresme-Forum on line L4, with the exit at Rambla de Prim a short walk from the site. The T4 tram and bus lines B20, H14, H16, V31 and V33 also stop near the park, and services run late on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays.
